Find your inspiration!

Can you find inspiration for esk characters around you? During this activity you will have an opportunity to earn points for taking photos of inspiration material for character designs, and winners of this activity will be able to use the nature features, objects, or environments as raw materials for new esk MYOs! Photographs that are not of crafts or artwork do not normally earn points, but during this activity you will be able to submit original photographs to receive AP and enter into raffles for prizes. 
This is intended to be a short, low-pressure activity. We will have a larger, story-driven event in June. We hope you have fun eskploring!

Please remember to read the rules, all photo entries need to be of NEW photography. All pictures must have been taken between May 5th-May 19th.

  Activity Information

  How to participate

• There are four categories you can submit photos to: nature features, boundaries, accessories, and original forms.
• You can submit up to 2 photo entries per category.
• Each photo you submit earns 10AP flat (no bonuses), if you submit for every category you can earn up to 80AP total. No GP will be awarded during this activity.
• At the end of the event we will hold a raffle and 2 winners from each category will win a free MYO based on their winning photograph. Each photo entry receives its own raffle number.
• All entries must be titled! More details below.

  Submitting your photos

• Since players may not necessarily be interested in seeing a large number of eskless photos come through the group, please submit all your photos to sta.sh! Comment with the sta.sh link to the photo on the featured comment for the category that it belongs to. 2 photos are allowed per category. 
• Please document the AP earned in this activity in your player profile by linking to the photos in your AP log.
• Photos can only be submitted to one category, you can't overlap categories.
• If you are entering twice to a category please be sure to post both entries in the same comment! If you've previously entered with one photo please hide your old comment and re-comment with your new entries! You will not be allowed to edit your entries after the event has ended.
• Photos submitted for the event will be eligible to be featured at the end of the activity. witherlings will be selecting a handful of photos to showcase in the TWWM blog.

  Activity rules

• Entries should be original photos that you have taken during the span of this activity. Please do not re-use old photographs, part of the goal of this activity is to get up and actively seek new ideas in our surroundings. If you have personal circumstances that limit your ability to do this please contact us, we want to make sure everyone can participate.
• Submitting stock photos or any photos that you did not take personally will not be tolerated. Original photos only!
• Photos must clearly depict the intended subject matter. We do not expect everyone to be professional photographers but the image needs to be reasonably clear and in focus. Blurry, distorted, or unclear photos cannot be accepted.
• Photos should not prominently feature humans. No portraits or selfies, humans can be present in the background only.

  No crystal-shaped minerals please (raw/rocky is ok)
  Try to identify the subject as best you can, we can help you ID species or other details if needed!
  Please follow the nature features guidelines

If you don't know the name of the nature feature it's ok to put a generic name like "rock" or "yellow flower" !

Accessories

  Fabrics, trinkets, litter, pollutants, tools, vases, planters, carved stones, crafts... there are lots of opportunities in this category!
  Try to think creatively about how an accessory can be integrated into an esk's form beyond simply wearing something like a garment
  Accessories that are overly anthropomorphizing may need to be reviewed; contact the TWWM team if you have any concerns.

 Almost anything can become an esk, just follow your inspiration!
 You can submit plants, animals, fungi, rocks, or objects.
 Please do not submit pictures of humans! That's kinda weird.

If you photograph an original form it does not need to be that exact form, it is simply a representative of the species or type! With objects we think it would be fun to follow the form more closely, but with animals/plants/etc you can use the species as a representative and not an individual (for example: if you photograph a male lion at a zoo, you don't have to use a captive lion as the original form, and you don't have to use a male lion).
